Conduct field surveys to gather data and investigate economically safe, operable and easily maintained design options at various Aramco onshore and offshore plants. Prepare construction material take-off lists for the materials called for in the design drawings in conformance with Saudi Aramco Materials Specifications (SAMS) and other approved industrial standards and specifications. Work in both onshore and offshore facilities. Provide mentoring and transfer technical knowledge and skills to Saudi Designers and Draftsmen.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Must have minimum of 7 years experience in the instrumentation design area for oil and gas facility or similar industry (Candidates with BS Degree need have only 5 years experience).
• Must have extensive experience with Microstation and IRAS/B software developing design drawings and detailed drafting.
• Must have field experience drafting/sketching of equipment layout as seen.
• Must have experience in developing Material Take-Off list.
• Must have extensive experience developing instrumentation design drawings such as loop diagrams (ILDs), piping and instrument diagrams (PIDs), wiring diagrams, instrument specification sheets, and cable & conduit schedules. Experience must include field and site survey.
• Must have extensive experience in field instrumentation devices such as flow elements, pressure, temperature, and level measuring devices and transmitters.
• Design experience for hazardous locations and familiarity with electrical area classification.
• Must be detail oriented, self motivated.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards (SAES) and Material Specifications (SAMSS) is a plus.

Education: BS Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering. Basic knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ISA, NEC, and IEC.

Language Requirement: Must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language.

Other Requirements:

Design experience for hazardous locations and familiarity with electrical area classification. Must be detail oriented, self motivated. Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards (SAES) and Material Specifications (SAMSS) is a plus.

Minimum 7 years field experience requiring a solid knowledge and application of core concepts and operating functions.
