Responsibilities: - gt; Involved with a team of engineers engaged in design and development for advanced drivetrains - gt; Responsible for electrical designs and electrical system integration for AC drive systems as well as motor and generator development and validation - gt; Determine electric machine design specifications, component performance and durability validation - gt; Working with suppliers to ensure compliance with design specifications, managing costs, and timely delivery to meet program schedule Requirements: - gt; Must have BS degree (prefer BSME or BSEE) - gt; Proven knowledge of electrical machinery such as motors, generators, and power converters - gt; A familiarity with power electronics, both hardware design and operation - gt; An understanding is needed of Permanent Magnet, Switched Reluctance, and AC Induction generators and traction motors - gt; Experience with Matlab-simulink or other similar tools for systems modeling, control system design and analysis - gt; Electric drive traction experience with automotive, rail or heavy machinery is a must - gt; Knowledge and experience with APQP, 6 sigma or related quality processes is helpful Benefits: - gt; Healthcare coverage, Dental Coverage, Vision Care Coverage, 401(K), Savings Plan, Pension Plan, Accident Insurance, Life Insurance, Financial Planning, Dependent Life Insurance, Vacation, Health Care Spending Account, Holidays, Educational Assistance Prog
