Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for 4 Civil Design Engineers with 3-5+ years of experience for a 12+ month contract assignment based out of Newark, NJ. You need a BSCE degree or equivalent experience. You will be responsible for performing civil design calculations for foundations of heavy electrical equipment (oil filled transformers, breakers, disconnect switches, etc..). Client is looking for candidates that are local to the Newark, NJ area. Responsibilities: - gt; Perform civil design calculations for foundations of heavy electrical equipment (oil filled transformers, breakers, disconnect switches, etc..) - gt; Perform steel structures design and analysis, drainage and spill prevention calculations - gt; Perform civil detail design work using Microstation software for all types of major and minor capital projects for switching and substations - gt; Make critical design decisions and provide solutions for replacement of failed equipment on emergency basis Requirements: - gt; 3-5+ years of experience as a Civil Design Engineer supporting Substation and switchyard design projects - gt; BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience - gt; Proficient with Microstation or AutoCAD Software - gt; Design foundations, perform steel structures analysis for major electrical equipment and bus supports for substations and switching stations Benefits: - gt; Paid Vacation - gt; 401K - gt; Health Insurance, and more...
