Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for several Substation Designers-Engineers for a 12+ month contract assignment based out of Newark, NJ. You need to have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering OR equivalent experience. You need Experience designing the protection and control systems OR the physical layout for substation engineering and construction projects. Client is looking for candidates that are local to the Newark, NJ area. Responsibilities: - gt; Develop plans and profile drawings from electrical one line diagrams for Switching and Substations at 4 kV to 500 kV - gt; Modify and design electrical control circuits for substations and switching stations, protective relays, miscellaneous controls, alarms, monitoring devices, transformer controls, breaker controls, SCADA, A.C power and D.C controls - gt; Development of station grounding details and station lighting - gt; Selection and detail all the material required for connecting major equipment e.g. Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Disconnect Switches, CCVT, Wave Traps, Station Bus Sections etc - gt; Review electrical layout packages prepared by A.E firms and equipment drawings considering compliance with our standards, operation needs, equipment access and removal criteria is met Requirements: - gt; 3-20+ years of experience as an Engineer or Designer supporting Substation design projects - gt; Experience designing the protection and control systems OR the physical layout for substation engineering and construction projects - gt; Proficient with Microstation or AutoCAD Software - gt; BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience - gt; Experience working directly with designing and engineering of various systems for substations Benefits: - gt; Paid Vacation - gt; 401K - gt; Health Insurance, and more...
