Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Field Application Engineer to service the Pacific Northwest Region.

Field Application Engineer
Responsibilities:
Provide power system engineering, protection and troubleshooting expertise.
Help customers apply SEL products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.
Contribute to product specifications, application and testing software and literature.
Participate in SEL marketing and sales activities and industry technical meetings and conferences.
Maintain and improve knowledge of all SEL products.
Teach in training schools for customers and SEL personnel.
Maintain customer database for customer application information.
Follow and improve marketing, sales and engineering quality procedures.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years experience in protection of electric power systems
Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills
Experience with protective relay applications and industry practices
Ability to travel up to 35% nationwide
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
