Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a RF Engineer. This is a 6+ month contract assignment in KS. You will need 8 years of engineering experience with at least 4 years of RF design experience in the communications industry. Responsibilities: - gt; The primary function of this position will be to design point-to-point communications paths, or to provide point-to-multipoint areas of reliable mobile radio service. Multipoint service areas may be fixed or mobile radio locations - gt; Duties include identifying client needs and requirements, specifying equipment, creating design drawings and layouts, identifying frequency bands, and working with coordinators to acquire licenses as needed. - gt; Develops or evaluates plans-criteria or special analyses required in support of the engineering effort Requirements: - gt; 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 4 years of RF Design experience - gt; Ability to utilize propagation modeling techniques to complete RF designs of large-scale, complex markets. Ability to perform all stages of RF design, including: optimal site selection, link budget analysis, and RF sweep evaluation - gt; Working knowledge of RF planning process and use of propagation tools - gt; Experience with MapInfo, Google Earth, Pathloss, Planet, or other RF propagation software Benefits: - gt; Paid Vacation - gt; 401K - gt; Health Insurance, and more...
