Global company has immediate need for a Electronics Design Engineer with Digital-Analog Design experience to support research, design and development of Aircraft Turbine controls. B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering along with Freescale microcontrollers and Xilinx FPGAs required. Excellent opportunity in Central Illinois and relocation will be considered. Responsibilities: - gt; Responsible for design digital circuits from concept through development to production release, including circuit design, simulation, printed wiring board design, testing, debugging, integration, reliability analysis and design analysis - gt; Responsible for troubleshooting-analysis of system problems using complex computer simulations and writing complex component tests and supports product environmental testing - gt; Responsible for support of Initial bench testing of new designs including bread boarding, prototyping and supporting design, quality, reliability and manufacturing engineering teams - gt; Will lead or directs technicians, detailers and designers on a project level basis - gt; Responsible for effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations, (Customer, internal and management) Requirements: - gt; B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required - gt; Requires experience in all aspects of design including design entry, synthesis, verification, and place and route - gt; Requires 7 years of professional hands-on experience with: digital design, layout and simulation, schematic entry, mixed signal circuits, assembly, test and debug - gt; Requires experience with communication hardware (Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI, etc.), A-D converters, memory architectures (synchronous-asynchronous), and a variety of logic families - gt; Requires experience with digital (high speed design) and analog simulation software and circuit board design tools - gt; Requires experience with 16-32 bit processors Freescale microcontrollers (HC12, 56x, 55xx, etc.), Freescale communication processors (5200, 5212), Xilinx FPGAs - gt; Requires experience in software or Matlab application and Digital High Speed and Analog Electronics Design, analysis, and simulation - gt; Candidate must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance - gt; Writes and communicates critical reports and leads design reviews, internally and Customer.
