JOB TITLE: Rotating Equipment Engineer

An Oil and Gas and Energy Equipment Provider in the New Orleans, LA area is currently seeking a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer. Responsibilities: - gt; Repair steam turbine, industrial gas turbine, centrifugal compressor and other rotating equipment - gt; Provide technical direction to shop and field supervisors and technicians on equipment service, rebuild and repair - gt; Work closely with operations and Project Managers to ensure that the scope of supply and design parameters are clear and well-defined - gt; Travel as required to support local operations and projects - gt; Obtain vendor quotes and prepare lowest evaluated vendor costs - gt; Assist with field problem resolution and warranty claims - gt; Provide project engineering support and engineering calculations, as needed - gt; Develop improved work processes and-or procedures Requirements: - gt; Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or related field - gt; 8 to 15 years of engineering and design experience with rotating turbo-machinery equipment including: steam turbines, industrial gas turbines and centrifugal compressors - gt; Hands on experience with repair procedures of rotating equipment rebuild and component repair - gt; Experience with rotor reconditioning, rotor balancing, bucket replacement, submerged-arc welding diaphragm repair, and other related machine operations - gt; Working knowledge of metallurgy and welding processes - gt; Must be willing to travel Benefits: - gt; Competitive benefits and negotiable salary
