A leading energy provider located in the Northeast is actively interviewing for a Design Engineering Configuration Manager with nuclear power plant design background to provide oversight of the engineering design processes, quality, and alignment with industry standards. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates. Responsibilities: - gt; Facilitating the implementation of standard engineering processes - gt; Review and approve plans that will improve current processes - gt; Identify best practices and implement such best practices at the nuclear sites - gt; Interacts with Design Engineers at the nuclear sites to maintain the Design Configuration and to optimize Design Configuration Controls and Processes - gt; Identify gaps at the sites as they relate to design effectiveness and operational effectiveness and determine the best practices solutions and implement the best practices - gt; Assist with NRC inspections such as CDBI (Component Design Bases Inspection) and provide oversight of Quality Reviews - gt; Responds to and assists the Design Engineering Groups at the sites on daily issues involving Design Engineering issues Requirements: - gt; Bachelors degree in Engineering or a Physical Science, client would prefer a CE, ME or EE - gt; 7-10 years of experience, must include some design experience in a nuclear facility - gt; Additional experience in a nuclear plant maybe in operations, maintenance, or engineering - gt; Knowledge of nuclear plant systems, equipment, policies, codes, standards, etc - gt; Provide Configuration Management Oversight of the Design and Engineering Processes - gt; High level of understanding of engineering principles, project management and cost control techniques Benefits: - gt; Relocation assistance for eligible candidates - gt; Performance bonus opportunity
