IMMEDIATE need for a Design Engineer with electro-chemical battery design and good mechanical aptitude for direct hire position in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Client is a leading global manufacturer of advanced technology for industrial and defense applications. Relocation assistance available Responsibilities: - gt; Design and develop batteries - fuel cells - gt; Analyze requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and justify selections based on performance, cost, risk, and schedule - gt; Coordinate with other departments (purchasing, production, IE, RandD) and support transition from concept to production - gt; Support purchasing to identify, evaluate, and qualify new manufacturing processes and materials - gt; Stay informed of latest developments in field through training, conferences, reviews of RandD material, and generate patents or other intellectual properties Requirements: - gt; Bachelor degree (ChE, ME) or higher - gt; 3+ years experience statistical analysis, FEA and thermal management, coating, web-handling, etc - gt; PREFERRED: Pro E, Pro Mechanica, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and CFDesign - gt; Good mechanical aptitude create solutions to fix problems - gt; Very good verbal presentation and writing skills - gt; Independent thinker and team player Benefits: - gt; Full Benefits - gt; Tuition reimbursement up to $8K - gt; 401K Match up to 7%
