Job Summary:
- Responsible for applying the principles of statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma to finished good and in-process control and providing product and process technical support to Quality Assurance compliance and release personnel.
- Will develop and implement quality control systems including metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct practices.
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative statistical process control techniques, measurement systems, metrology and design of experimentation to determine process capabilities, reliability, reproducibility, and risk assessment of quality and manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement Quality Improvement processes in the areas of material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems
- Knowledgeable of the application of quality cost concepts and is able to identify system deficiencies and implement correction.
- Determine the price of nonconformance (PONC) for quality and manufacturing process. Develop and implement corrective actions to reduce PONC.
- Also responsible for monitoring process changes and for conducting and reporting internal and external quality audits as well as developing and implementing corrective actions and assessing its effectiveness.
- Assist with batch record review for those batches with process changes and deviations
- Conduct internal audits of facilities, departments and systems as well as suppliers and contract manufacturers, documents findings and monitor the compliance and effectiveness of corrective actions through follow-up audits. Trend results and recommends corrective actions.
- Participate in and lead Root Cause investigations as part of the CAPA program.
- Participate in resolution of customer complaints & other customer related issues.
- Ensure that operational and quality systems align with applicable regulations, customer requirements, as well as corporate and quality mission, policy and objectives.
Qualifications:
- BS Chemical Engineer with college level courses in Biology, Chemistry, or other science. Minimum of 2 years experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or relevant technical assignment within a production environment preferably in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of food GMPs, food safety, HACCP, kosher, and halal.
- Quality auditing experience preferred.
- ASQ Quality Engineer Certification (CQE) preferred.
- Experience with Six Sigma is preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
Salary: 65000 - 75000
