Our client requires a SCADA/Automation Engineer, BSEE required (MBA helpful) with 10 years pipeline industry experience and 5+ years with pipeline SCADA systems and pipeline automation; experience with Telvent OASyS SCADA systems, OSISoft PI, and Modicon PLCs. Formal training also required and fluent in VB.net programming to work with and assist in the setting of priorities and management of workload within the SCADA and Automation capabilities, identify opportunities for applying the SCADA and Automation capabilities to add value to the business and operations, work closely with pipeline operations and field operations to improve operations and support business and operations project and initiatives, implement SCADA modifications to support system changes and participate in on-call rotation for SCADA after hours support.
Individual will also support pipeline projects with Automation design, equipment specifications, PLC logic development, implementation and operational training for commissioning, etc. and understand pertinent compliance requirements for remote pipeline operations and help develop/own Automation Technical Guidelines and other field automation related documents – must have solid computer skills, specifically the ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, and ability to learn SCADA software and PLC logic.
