Our Client requires a Pipeline Hydraulics Engineer, BSME required (MBA helpful) with 10+ yrs in the petroleum industry and 5+ years experience with liquid pipeline hydraulic simulation/optimization (at least 2+ years as a supervisor and SPS software) to be responsible for providing vision and direction for the company’s Hydraulic Simulation and Energy Management capabilities. Individual will mentor and coach fellow team members, prioritize and manage workload, provide technical oversight or work products produced, identify opportunities for pipeline optimization, participate as a key member of project origination teams, define alternatives, analyze hydraulics and operational impacts of key alternatives and recommend best alternative to meet business objectives.
Also required: perform hydraulic surge analysis and make recommendation to assure pipeline operating pressures are within the allowable limits, predict hydraulic and power impacts due to system operational changes, provide hydraulic modeling support for business development initiatives, understand and track power costs for key facilities. Individual must have a minimum of 3 years with liquid pipeline hydraulic simulation, ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and have the ability to learn hydraulic modeling software.
