Immediate Need!! Large Power Generation Company located in Northeast, Illinois, is actively searching for an Environmental Engineer with Water Pollution Prevention Control, and Air Pollution Prevention control experience within the nuclear industry. Responsibilities: -> Supporting day-to-day environmental compliance for plant level environmental programs including waste management, water pollution control, spill plans and response, emergency planning and release reporting, and tank management -> Overseeing and enforcing NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System), SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan), Domestic Water Pollution Control, Wetlands Pollution control, and SPCC (Spill Prevention Control and Counter measures) -> Supporting and assuring air pollution prevention control counter measures (e.g. Green House Gases, Federally Enforceable State Operations) -> Providing environmental record keeping and reporting including data review and analysis, report preparation, and report filings -> Support Regulatory Inspections and third party EHS and ISO 14001 audits -> Assures that the highest level of compliance is maintained with all applicable environmental rules and regulations and that the station personnel are aware of all relevant environmental requirements Requirements: -> Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Science -> 5-7 years of environmental engineering experience in the nuclear industry -> Must have experience with Water Pollution Prevention Control and Air Pollution Prevention Control (e.g. NPDES, SWPPP, Domestic Water, Wetlands, SPCC, FESOP, and GHGs) -> SRO (Senior Reactor Operator) certification is preferred -> Must have work experience in environmental compliance -> Demonstrated understanding of Federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations and their implementation requirements Benefits: -> 401(k) Plan -> Health and Dental Insurance -> Paid Vacation -> Relocation pay
