His/her primary responsibility will be to provide full project engineering support to the facility and execute capital projects safely, timely, and cost effectively.  He/she will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, developing process capabilities, designing control systems, justifying and submitting projects, cost estimating, installation projects, adhering to schedules and budgets for projects in the range of $100,000 to $5MM.  This person could be the Project Manager for a team installing projects over $1,000,000. 

A degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.  If person is ME, must come out of Chemical manufacturing.  Seven to ten years experience as a production/maintenance engineer in a chemical manufacturing/industrial facility along with working knowledge of chemical process equipment.  Project Management experience with typical projects in the $250,000 range or greater. Chemical plant design experience (equipment selection, efficient layouts, etc.). Process design experience (equipment sizing, heat loads, vapor pressure, mass balances, etc.). Ability to research and specify equipment in addition to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve problems. Ability to prioritize, schedule, inspect work, and (re)direct resources as necessary. Working knowledge of applicable OSHA standards. Good leadership and organizational skills to manage and motivate contractor personnel, mechanics, and design teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete complex assignments with minimal supervision.
