Civil Engineer - Senior Design Engineer - Water Treatment

Key Responsibilities

• Assess quality of both surface and ground water sources for municipal water supply systems.
• Evaluating condition, performance and capacity of existing water treatment works.
• Undertaking studies for new and upgraded facilities, including community/industry needs assessment, review of alternative schemes, recommending best alternatives.
• Leading the development of appropriate treatment process trains to achieve potable drinking water standards and or water quality objectives.
• Planning, design and construction of water treatment facilities and water distribution systems.
• Preparing reports, approvals, submissions and other project documentation.
• Ensuring the design is in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Perform all other related tasks that will help accomplish the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering preferred.
• 10 years relevant experience in water treatment design engineering.
• Experience with pre-selection and pre-purchase of major water treatment equipment for clients.
• Experience in computer analysis of water distribution systems.
• Computer modeling and drafting experience an asset.
• Experience in engineering consulting will be considered an asset
• Good initiative, attention to details.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
