Key Responsibilities
- You will be directly involved in the completion of the technical aspects, preparation of corresponding study reports, documentation, client and project management.
- Comprehensive collection and analysis of data.
- Application of the related regulatory environment and legislative requirements.
- Knowledge and application of Alberta Environment Standards and guidelines.
- Development and evaluation of alternative solutions and best management practices and strategies.
- Documentation of study findings.
- Collaborating with senior design professionals within GENIVAR from other regions.
- Preparation of design briefs, reports and presentations.
- Co-ordination with the client, including meetings and presentations.
- Provide training, support and mentoring of junior staff.
Qualifications
- A University degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Masters preferred) or related discipline of approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eligibility for registration as a P.Eng. with APEGGA.
- A minimum of 7 years of North American experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Experience with treatment requirements, available technologies.
- Experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, or similar modeling software is a definite asset, but not required.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation is an asset, but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and public consultation skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work independently under minimal supervision.
- Experience and knowledge of modeling municipal systems, regional systems pump selection, treatment processes are necessary in this position.
- A willingness to travel (to serve projects from our branch offices).
