JOB TITLE: Engineer-Cost/Construction/Project Controls

Client is looking for a Project Controls/Cost Engineer for a 12+ month contract assignment in Newark, New Jersey. You need 7-10+ years of cost and schedule analysis experience supporting large, heavy industrial construction projects. You need to be highly proficient in using MS Excel. Our client is looking for candidates that are local to Newark, NJ and who are commutable to the Newark area. Responsibilities: -> This position will be assisting the project controls team with various cost engineering and scheduling duties -> Maintain cost and schedule program data bases and metrics -> Prepare requisitions, review and process project invoices, project change requests -> Attend and participate in project meetings and prepare minutes -> Prepare and analyze project/program cash flow reports -> Work closely with various project managers to analyze contractor performance and make recommendations for improvements Requirements: -> Highly proficient in using MS Excel -> 7-10+ years of cost analysis on heavy industrial construction projects -> Knowledge of scheduling analysis -> Knowledge of critical path methods -> Experience analyzing cost and schedule variances -> Knowledge of SAP and Sarbanes/Oxley is a PLUS Benefits: -> Paid Vacation -> 401K -> Health Insurance, and more...
