JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION MANAGER

LOCATION: Delaware, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina

CHEMICAL, PETROCHEMICAL, REFINERY & PHARMACEUTICAL RECRUITERS

Seeking a candidate for manufacturing management in the production of specialty chemicals that are used in a variety of industries. Responsible for managing all related functions, (factory operations, cost control, inventory control, ensure compliance to safety/EPA, budget preparation, forecasting, and conformance to all regulatory requirements, etc). Responsible for production, operating, and inventory reports, troubleshoots and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Responsible for production orders, works with customer service, supply chain, procurement and prepares schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.Inspects equipment and works with maintenance to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Proven willingness to take a participatory approach to management and be a team player.

A degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and/or Chemistry with 5-7 years of exempt management experience and strong working knowledge of all elements of manufacturing systems (preferably in a chemical or manufacturing facility). Experience with both batch and continuous operations are desirable. Thorough knowledge of OSHA laws and EPA regulations. Proven experience and effectiveness managing union hourly work force a plus. Demonstrated experience with process optimization techniques. High energy and passion for excellence, bias for action, adaptability, and resilience. Broad understanding of business issues, metrics, organizational linkages, and customer value.Six Sigma training a plus.
