Will work to improve First Run Capabilities, quality, and yields.  Responsible for implementing and designing studies to aid manufacturing in production for consistency and first run capability. Improve operational efficiencies and reduce the cost of manufacturing.  Aid in the introduction of new products from Research & Development (R&D) into Plant Production.  Participate as a team member/leader with any groups working toward these goals.  Design and implement studies to aid Manufacturing in producing uniform material on a consistent basis. Determine nameplate capacity for each equipment system and investigate ways to maximize throughput.  Identify equipment needs/modifications necessary to meet manufacturing goals. Complete preliminary design and assist Project Engineering as needed during implementation.  Monitor equipment failures or other issues brought forth by the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program. Determine what possible effects these failures may have on product quality, costs, and operational efficiency.  If necessary, request a Root Cause Analysis be performed.  Facilitate scale-up and setting of process parameters when bringing new Products into Production from R&D. 

A degree in Chemical Engineering with 2-3 years plus process engineering experience in chemicals manufacturing is required.
