This position provides production, process and project engineering support services to the site that focus on the optimization of processing costs, product quality and operational reliability as well as assuring EHS regulatory compliance. Engineering efforts will involve the use of Six Sigma methodologies and associated data analysis to troubleshoot, identify and resolve unit operation efficiency, quality and reliability problems. Development and implementation of capital projects to address identified issues will also be a key objective of the role, as will supporting the site''s maintenance team in developing and implemented value-added preventive maintenance inspection. Will have overall responsibility for developing best engineering practices and coordinating process changes at the plant. Expands and develops regional and corporate facility relations and best practices. Responsible for initiating and driving process improvements on the site including energy efficiencies, yield improvements and capacity creation. Responsible for capital improvements including project development, preparing formal requests for capital appropriations, preparing and soliciting bid packages to contractors, procuring electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment and overall management of project installation and start-up.

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with minimum 5 years experience in project/process engineering within the chemical process industry. Familiarity with PLC control systems. Strong background in chemical manufacturing and utilities. Working knowledge of engineering codes and standards. Process Safety Management background. Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.
