Our client is a recognized leader in providing environmental and engineering services in support of traditional and renewable energy projects in the energy industry.  Our client partners with its developer and utility clients to provide comprehensive, multi-disciplinary services for a variety of energy projects including wind energy, ethanol, geothermal, and gas-fired facilities, transmission lines and substations.

Our client is looking to fill a direct hire position located in RAS and Data Systems, System Control Engineering, Engineering and Technical Services. This function in the RAS and Data Systems group is to design the remote and local data acquisition systems for power substations and electrical facilities and the specification and ordering of materials for construction of these facilities.  Data Systems includes, but is not limited to: power system control, systems used for data acquisition (discrete alarm, transducer, and telemetry systems), remote power system control, SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition), remote terminal units, events recording, substation annunciation, and digital fault recording. These functions include production of drawings and design documents, initiation of equipment procurement, generation of material requests, purchase requisitions and bills of materials, development of design standards and standard specifications. Support and expertise is provided to other organizations in development of plans, estimates, and resolution of field problems.

Major Duties
• Be responsible for the designs for new substations, changes and additions to existing substations and other electrical facilities, including all necessary studies and design calculations in order to develop drawings and specify material and equipment to be used for construction of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and sequence events recorder (SER) systems in substations.
