A growing company in the oil industry is seeking an Mechanical Engineer for its Southern California facility. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. All qualified candidate are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: -> Work on the mechanical design side of MWD/ LWD and related drilling systems -> Assist with the packaging of measurement electronics and instrumentation used to drill and log wells -> Lead projects and oversee a team of engineers -> Focus on the mechanical aspect of various tools -> Work in a team environment on assigned tasks -> Coordinate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met -> Travel domestically to various work sites Requirements: -> A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering -> A minimum of 5 years mechanical design experience -> Experience in down hole Measurement While Drilling (MWD)/ Logging While Drilling (LWD) or related drilling systems -> Experience in packaging of measurement electronics and instrumentation used to drill and log wells -> Understand the dynamics of the drilling environment -> Excellent problem solving, technical, verbal and written communication skills -> Ability to relocate to the Central Coast of California Benefits: -> Paid Vacation and Holiday pay -> 401K and Profit Sharing Plan -> Medical, Dental, and Vision -> Life Insurance -> Short/Long Term Disability Plan
