Mechanical Design Engineer position for a qualified engineer with BSME and masters degree with a leading medical device manufacturer at its Northern Utah location. Competitive salary (salary range posting withheld by client - applicant to include salary desired). Responsibilities: -> Provides project leadership and mechanical engineering design support in the planning and execution of new product development, line extensions, and product and manufacturing processes improvements -> Includes product investigation, invention, prototype, design, testing and validation using existing and new technology processes -> Applies first engineering principles, advanced engineering methods, data and judgement to enhance product development activities -> Helps identify, break down and solve complex problems in product design -> Functions as a cross-functional team member and as a lead when assigned -> Works closely with team members and customers for product design concepts and input requirements -> Ensures compliance with company quality policies, procedures and practices, and state and federal safety regulations Requirements: -> BSME, and at least a Masters in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering -> 4+ years mechanical medical device product design and development experience -> CAD proficiency, preferably with 3-D experience -> Experience in product development life cycle is essential -> Demonstrated knowledge of plastic and metal component design and injection molding a plus -> Mechanical engineering background in injection devices related to vaccines and pre-filled drug delivery devices a plus -> Experience with biomed fluids and polymers a plus -> Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills -> Successful track record in mechanical product development engineering of high volume medical devices Benefits: -> Full benefits -> Relocation provided to the right candidate -> Performance bonus eligibility -> Tremendous advancement opportunities
