JOB TITLE: Solid Motor Stress Analyst

LOCATION: Huntsville, Alabama

Job Description:

BS degree (MS preferred) in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural analysis from an ABET accredited institutuion, with a minimum of 8 years applicable experience is required. A minimum of 5 years experience in the application of stress analysis of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element based methods is required. Familiarity with the structural design and analysis of solid rocket propulsion systems is desired. Experience should include the application of finite element methods and the assessment of failure mechanisms such as rupture, yield, buckling, fatigue, and fracture. Experience with the design and analysis of joints containing mechanical fastners and welds is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Experience with PATRAN, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, or ANSYS is desired.


Proof of US Citizenship required.
